Integrated online solution – a talent revolution

   Background

Our client, the Australian operation of a global pharmaceutical company, was dissatisfied with the quality of the candidates it was sourcing and the cost of filling positions using a traditional transactional agency model.
Initially we were asked to supply our application management service. However, as our client become more familiar with our online solutions they became open to the idea of establishing an insourced recruitment solution using our integrated Cynergy Online recruitment and knowledge management system.


Objectives

Our objective was to design and deliver a process which:
  • Provided a stream of high calibre candidates from a talent bank
  • Reduced total recruitment costs
  • Projected an image of our client as the employer of choice in the pharmaceutical industry


Solution

Following consultation with our client we designed a recruitment process which met their immediate needs. Having configured a system and linked it to their web site we ran a 3 month trial to fully evaluate the process and system configuration. On completion of the trial we developed and enhanced our system to provide a fully customised solution. We then trained and placed an experienced recruitment business partner to manage the system and deliver outcomes.


Key Results

In the first 6 months of operation:

  • Over 600 applications were received and processed
  • 189 candidates were screened and placed on the talent bank
  • No agency costs were incurred


Commentary

 Response from the client is extremely positive. Candidate communication has dramatically improved and there is a greater feeling of confidence in the process from client and candidate. Detailed reports generated by the system are enabling HR to analyse the recruitment process and evaluate their resourcing strategy. Flow of candidates into the talent bank is excellent.
